Some hotels, convention centers and venues offer internet packages that may not fit every event's budget or technical requirements. ClearPath Connect gives organizers the option to request an independently managed event network designed around their actual needs.

FCC Information About Wi-Fi Blocking
FCC guidance states that hotels, convention centers, commercial establishments and their network operators may not intentionally block or disrupt the lawful operation of personal Wi-Fi hotspots, including attempts to force customers to purchase access to the property's Wi-Fi network.
This does not automatically require a venue to permit every outside installation. Venues may still control physical access, equipment placement, cabling, power, safety, insurance requirements, wireless coordination and outside-vendor approval through lawful policies and contracts.

Before Booking Your Venue Internet
- Ask whether outside internet providers are permitted.
- Request the venue's internet pricing in writing.
- Ask about outside-vendor or technology fees.
- Confirm setup and breakdown access times.
- Confirm available electrical power.
- Ask about insurance requirements.
- Ask about parking, loading and equipment access.
- Request the venue's wireless coordination requirements.
- Compare the venue's internet proposal with an independent quote.
- Obtain written approval before the event.
Venue and Third-Party Fees
The client is responsible for confirming that ClearPath Connect is permitted to enter the venue and install the approved temporary network.
Unless specifically included in the written quote, the client is responsible for venue-imposed charges, including:
- Internet or technology fees
- Outside-vendor fees
- Electrical or power fees
- Parking and loading fees
- Rigging fees
- Security or escort fees
- Union labor
- Insurance certificates
- Permits
- Equipment storage
- After-hours access
ClearPath Connect will not approve or pay a venue charge without the client's written authorization.
